There are many opportunities for tutoring that can found on the internet, in many subjects! As the opportunities are investigated, to see which is the right one to choose, an important question has to be asked: Am I going to be happy with the approach that is used and will it make a difference to learning? The learning approach that nilsbird tutoring uses focuses on really supporting the learner. From the start to the finish of a tutoring session, a major priority will always be involving the learner: asking engaging and helpful questions; involving the learner in the creation of tasks and any other methods that develop higher-order thinking skills; always trying to help the learner see the links and connections between different parts of mathematics. There will always be opportunities for the learner to ask questions and a constant check will be made that learning has been understood. As appropriate, technology, such as Desmos and Geogebra, will be used to enhance learning. Before any tutoring is confirmed, there will be the opportunity to have a 30 minutes, free trial lesson with a tutor.
